Nestled in the heart of this bustling neighborhood, this cozy French bistro offers an escape into a world of rich flavors, warm ambiance, and a relaxed yet refined atmosphere that makes it feel like you're dining in a quaint Parisian garden. The staff knows the menu well and will happily guide you through the options if you're unfamiliar with French cuisine or just want a recommendation.

The menu at Le Petit Jardin is a delightful mix of classic French dishes with a California twist. You can start your meal with something light like the fresh goat cheese salad, which comes with a tangy vinaigrette that complements the creamy cheese perfectly. If you’re a fan of seafood, their seared scallops are absolutely to die for-perfectly cooked and paired with a delicate sauce that brings out the natural sweetness of the scallops.

For the main course, you’ll find a great selection of both meaty and vegetarian dishes. The duck confit is a standout, cooked to perfection with crispy skin and tender meat that falls right off the bone. If you’re in the mood for something a bit lighter, the ratatouille is a great choice, bursting with vibrant, garden-fresh vegetables and herbs. Every bite feels like a little taste of the French countryside, but with a Californian freshness that makes it feel like home.

The wine list at Le Petit Jardin is thoughtfully curated, with plenty of options to pair with your meal, whether you're a fan of bold reds or something a little more delicate. The staff is always happy to offer suggestions based on your taste preferences, so don’t be afraid to ask if you’re unsure.

If you're still not convinced, the desserts here are worth a visit in themselves. The crème brûlée has a perfectly crisp top that gives way to a silky-smooth custard, and the chocolate mousse is rich and decadent, with just the right amount of sweetness to end your meal on a high note.

What People's Say About Place

Very nice people, very cute shop, nice menu, good coffee. The pancakes were very good, but the croque madame was not as good as the first time I had it a couple years ago. Needed some more flavor. But definitely great little neighborhood spot.

Love this restaurant. It never disappoints. Best quality at a very affordable price. Highly recommended. I come with my wife for a cozy, romantic dinner and we usually get the escargots. The New York steak and pommes frites and of course a glass of wine and crème brûlée. Come and try them out!

It's a hidden gem in this huge city. With a French theme and dishes. Good flavor pastas and steaks. Great customer service. Don't forget to ask for the soup of the day. My personal favorite is the Spicy Chicken Sandwich with fries. But you can have salad instead of fries if you'd like. Both are great combinations. Buy local flowers as well. A business with in a business.

Le Petit Jardin is a charming place with wonderful people. I ordered flowers for my wedding and ended up with an absolute perfection of bridal bouquet, boutonnières and table arrangements. I cannot thank you enough, I was so happy was with them!

Pleasant café with quality drinks and smooth service. Nice spot to relax or meet friends.

Food was delicious and service was friendly. Came for lunch on a whim on a Friday. No problem getting a table. Will be back again. Parking on the street was no issue. Metered parking.

It’s been a minute, but I used to have offices on Pico (above the dry cleaners: we had fun cooking up ethnographic film projects for big companies back when it was a thing). This was my go-to lunch spot when I had time. Where else could you find flowers and croque madame? Next time in town I’ll check to see if it is as wonderful as it was. I bet it is.

This is the most wonderful place to enjoy a delicious brunch or quiet dinner. Hands down: the best blueberry pancakes I’ve ever had! You will also love their floral arrangements! Celine crafts the most wonderful bouquets! This is the neighborhood
